Welcome To The Catamount Trail Association!
The Catamount Trail Association (CTA) is the non-profit organization responsible for the Catamount Trail, a 300+ mile backcountry ski trail that runs the length of Vermont. The CTA is also the parent organization that supports and advocates on behalf of Vermont’s Backcountry Chapters located across the State.
The CTA is your gateway to experiencing Vermont’s incredible backcountry in all its forms, and membership offers many great benefits including free ski tours, discounted alpine and nordic skiing, and many other discounts at supportive businesses throughout the State. Additionally, choosing to support backcountry skiing and riding in Vermont as a member will help us accomplish many crucial things including:
- Supporting terrain development and maintenance by the chapters and the CTA at large.
- Sustaining a robust and efficient administrative structure allowing our volunteer lead chapters to focus on trail related work, not organizational tasks.
- Aiding statewide advocacy efforts necessary to protect our mountain lands, and expand skiing and riding opportunities.
