Notice to Skiers:

The Vose brook bridge, about a 15 minute walk north of the Route 9 parking lot, is out for the 2010/2011 season.  It is a wide brook, but not fast flowing. There are places to cross in shallow areas, which should freeze up with cold temperatures.  Please cross with care.

Section 3: Route 9 to Somerset Resevoir

Snapshot:
This remote, back-country section of the CT offers varied terrain and scenic views of the Deerfield River, Mt. Snow, and Searsburg Reservoir.

Length: 7.4 miles

Difficulty:
This entire section is ungroomed.  It is generally flat but there are a few steep ascents and descents and numerous small stream crossings. It is very remote with only one intermediate access point.
