This season we are offering two Weeklong Tours (WLTs) and two 3-Day Tours (3DTs). Multi-Day Tours (MDTs) provide an opportunity to ski more of the Catamount Trail in one winter and enjoy the company of more people. Skiers may sign-up for as many days as they wish, EVEN ONE.  

View the trail sections to understand more about the sections in each MDT and to review the descriptions and trail maps. A list of lodging options along the MDT route will be made available. All participants are responsible for arranging their own lodging and meals.

Each tour page describes in detail each section of the tour with difficulty rating, and logistical information including contact information for your tour coordinator.  Please contact your tour coordinator if you are unsure about your skill level match with the MDTs.

Martin Luther King Weekend Central Three Day Tour
Saturday, January 19th to Monday, January 21st
Sections 13 to 15 - Route 4 to Widow's Clearing (Breadloaf)

Southern Weeklong Tour
Saturday, January 26th to Sunday, February 3rd
Sections 1 to 8 - Massachusetts Border to Greendale Road (Greendale)

North Central Weeklong Tour
Saturday, February 9th to Sunday, February 17th
Sections 16 to 23 - Widow's Clearing (Breadloaf) to Edson Hill Manor (Stowe)

Northern Three Day Tour
Friday, February 22nd to Sunday, February 24th
Sections 25 to 27 - Ryder Brook Golf Club (Morrisville) to Craftsbury Outdoor Center

To sign up for a MDT and reserve space for each of the days you plan to ski: email outreach@catamounttrail.org or call the CTA office at 802-864-5794. There may be capacity limitations on certain days based on difficulty, conditions and parking.

Prior to being accepted on a MDT the Tour Coordinator will screen by email or phone registrants with whose skiing ability they are not familiar. Interested participants should feel free to contact the Tour Coordinator directly to determine if the tour or specific days of the tour are a good match for their abilities and experience.

Sign-ups are not final until the following items have been received by the CTA office:

1. A non-refundable donation to the CTA to hold a position on the tour of $50 for 4-8 days and $25 for 1-3 days.

2. A signed waiver form (see above), good for all 2013 MDTs.

The CTA Calendar offers dates, descriptions and contact information for each Multi-Day Tour offered.  Check the calendar OFTEN for new and rescheduled tours. Last minute tours arise when snow conditions are good. Details about last minute tours and changes can also be found on the Trail Talk page.
