Stowe, VT – This winter, Vermont’s Catamount Trail Association (CTA) will be conducting a one day winter photography workshop in Underhill, VT on January 15th. The workshop will take place at a special private residence located on the side of Mount Mansfield in the heart of some of the best backcountry skiing and snowshoeing in VT. Local photographers Brian Mohr and Emily Johnson of Ember Photography will conduct the workshop. (www.EmberPhoto.com).
“It is a great joy for us to share some of the discoveries we’ve made behind the lenses over the years,” says Johnson, who has worked closely with her husband, Mohr, since 2000. “And winter is undoubtedly our favorite time of year.”
Since their earliest adventures together, Mohr and Johnson have been photographing the outdoor world for a growing list of editorial, non-profit and commercial clients – a list that today includes the New York Times, Outside Magazine, The Nature Conservancy, Patagonia Inc., Vermont Life and many others – while simultaneously developing their fine-art and wedding photography. Mohr is also an accomplished writer, and the couple organizes their own slideshow series in the northeast US, each winter.
