Third Annual Catamount Trail Backcountry Race and Tour

When: Sunday, March 14, 2010
Course: Race or tour this beautiful but physically challenging course on one of the most spectacular sections of the Catamount Trail with 70% ungroomed and 30% groomed surfaces. Course length is 17km with a 2300 ft vertical climb from Trapp Family Touring Center over Bolton Mtn and a 1300 ft vertical descent to Bolton Valley Nordic Center.
Event Options and Start Times: A Leisurely Tour Start at 10:00am for non-competitive racers or Mass Start Race at 11:30am for competitive racers.
Post Race Activities: Meal, raffle and awards for participants at 2:00pm.
Transportation: Optional bus service will be available to bring participants from Bolton Valley Nordic Center to the start of the race at Trapp Family Touring Center. Departure times for bus #1 is at 9:00am for the non-competitive skiers and bus #2 at 10:30am for the competitive skiers. Capacity is 45 people for each bus so make sure you check off the appropriate box below if you would like bus service. The price is $5.00 per person.
Event packet pickup: 8:00 - 10:00am at Bolton Valley Nordic Center. There will be no event day registration. Race packet includes race details, race and tour bib, meal ticket, optional bus ticket, and map.
Awards: Top 3 Male and Female racers and large raffle for all participants
Entry Fee: $40.00 for Catamount Trail Members,  $50.00 for non-members
Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by March 11th. There will be no race day entries. All entries are considered final with no refunds.
