Romance Half Marathon Tour and Race Registration
Enjoy a Valentine Week, classic technique, half marathon in Moosalamoo National Recreation Area on the Catamount Trail on Feb 11, 2012. The course will depart from the Rikert Nordic Center and will accommodate both competitive racers and non-competitive tourists. Racers will have the option to ski the 15 km or 25 km loops and tourists will ski the 15km loop. Following the race, all participants will enjoy a post race awards party with food from local vendors, a prize raffle, and age group awards for the competitive racers. Join the CTA, the Moosalamoo Association, and Rikert Nordic Center for this charming race and tour on Vermont's most beautiful trails groomed specifically for this event. More...
Kroka Students Trekking up the Catamount Trail
9 students and 2 teachers starting in Marlow, New Hampshire will spend a semester backcountry skiing along the Catamount Trail, living close to the land, and then canoeing back down the Connecticut River in their hand-built canoes.
