Fifty Ways To Tame the Catamount
Despite warm temperatures, threatening rain, and ominous dark clouds, 50 ambitious skiers braved the unknown to tame the Catamount at the 3rd Annual Backcountry Challenge Race and Tour. With temperatures in the low forties, 30 recreational participants and 20 competitive racers started the 17-km trek from the Trapp Family Lodge to Bolton Valley Nordic Center on one of the most popular sections of the 300-mile Catamount Trail. 3rd Annual Catamount Trail Backcountry Race and Tour
On Sunday, March 14, 2010, race or tour this beautiful but physically challenging course on one of the most spectacular sections of the Catamount Trail. CTA Loses Long Time Friend
On May 15, 2009, John Stearns of Bridgewater, VT and Glastonbury, CT passed away at the age of 74 with his family by his side. It’s not very often someone comes along who embraces an organization like John Stearns embraced the Catamount Trail.
