Howdy Folks,

I am looking to get a group of handy skiers together to do a little work on the Catamount Trail this coming weekend, Jan. 28 OR 29th-- whichever day works for the greatest number of folks. Erin and I are responsible for maintaining the southern half of Section 9 of the CT running from Greendale Campground in Weston north to Rt. 155 in Mt. Holly.

The two primary missions are:
-replacing some worn decking on a bridge- Lumber and hardware is already on site. We just need to trim up some 2x8s and nail them down to add a wearing course to a 10'x20' snowmobile bridge about a mile from Greendale CG.
-adding some Catamount Trail blazes along the way to keep skiers on the right path along the 5.7 mile section.

So, if you would like to spend a day in a beautiful section of national forest, swinging hammers and sipping hot chocolate to help contribute to one of Vermont's coolest recreational resources, let me know what day works for you (Saturday the 28th or sunday the 29th). I'll get the details together, and send the paper work into the GMNF folks.

If we are really productive we might be able to add in some extra skiing just for fun!

Cheers,
-Jeremy Krohn
