Happy New Years! Cindy Heath & I skied in and out on the CT from route 4 in Killington during today's blizzard. This is a rough section of trail but the base is plenty deep to cover the rocks and roots and make even the steep sections quite skiable. On top of an (occasionally surprising) crunchy base was 6-8" of dense, dry powder, with more falling by the minute. Great fun.

There are numerous wet areas but we were able to navigate all of them with skis on.

Warning: the AT/LT/CT parking lot on route 4 was not recently plowed and we did have trouble (a lot of trouble) getting a front-wheel drive vehicle out of it.
