[i]Please note the Trail is closed from Trapp Road to Camel's Hump Road due to logging. This trip report provides valuable information on the area, and is therefore included here.[/i:3c9d7b44e5]

From Trapp Road, once on the CT, the Trail climbs another 700' to the height of land somewhere around 2700'. This area is south facing, fairly brushy, and the snow cover is not good. There are rocks under 4 inches of fluff. It is OK for going up (S to N), but would be terrible to descend (N to S). Once up to the higher area, the snow is better. There are some huge trees down, but they are pretty easily avoidable, since the woods are quite open. The long, steep downhill portion going from 2700' to the Camels Hump Road has decent snow cover, being north facing. It is a wide logging road, but extremely steep, I would guess it is the steepest extended pitch on the whole CT.

The portion from Camel's Hump Road to CHSA has surprisingly thin snow cover, but is deep enough for the extended but fairly gentle uphill in that area.
