On a cold but beautiful Saturday Jan 9, ten hardy skiers skied north along Harriman Reservoir. We had a few inches of fresh power on a thin but robust base and very few surface wet spots to give us any trouble. Wilder Brook (missing bridge) was frozen pretty solid, we were able to ski across the ice or use the make-shift bridge the trail crew built earlier in the fall. It is a bit tricky if going north, and it won't survive the spring, but it works so far.
After a short sunny lunch at wilder Brook we headed to Medbudyville, where four skiers took advantage of the bail-out car.
The continuing six found the stream north of Medburyville south was drifted in and gave us no trouble. We found some icy conditions and wind getting around Searsburg Station. We made it back to Lund Lane (now signed "Lind Ln") just as the last of the sun was disappearing.
