The new CT in Ripton, Section 16, from FR59 to Wagon Wheel is all tracked out! I skied it Wednesday night, November 23 in about 6 to 8 inches of snow. Park at Natural Turnpike Parking, up FR59 to CT south. Right on the new CT at FR130 and follow new CT south to Wagon Wheel Rd and then return by the same route. The out and back is about a 3 hour ski or 7 miles total. All short steeps have good run-outs. Listen to the symphony of different water sounds along the new trail! It's worth skiing this twice for this.

I'm guessing the snow will be good for another day or so. Later in the winter, this trail can be skied as part of a loop from Rikert. Ask at Rikert Ski Touring Center for directions.

Enjoy the early season skiing!
