The Brandon Motor Lodge in Brandon, VT. is still offering the special rate for tour participants during our rescheduled tour dates (3/2-3/11). The owners of the Brandon Motor Lodge, Stacey and Aaron Kevins are CTA members. The rate for a room with a queen is $69 plus tax and a room with two double beds or a king and a pull-out sleeper is $79 plus tax. If interested in making a reservation, please call 1-800-675-7614 and mention that you are a CTA tour participant. The Comfort Inn at Trolly Square, Rutland, VT is again offering the same affordable rate during our rescheduled tour dates (3/2-3/11). The nightly rate is $59 plus tax for a room with one queen. This nightly rate also includes a morning buffet breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub. The Comfort Inn is centrally located to Sections 9-13. The farthest trail head on day 7 (Section 9 in Weston) is 25 miles or 35 minutes. Although the town of Ludlow is closer to Sections 9,10, and 11, the accommodations will be much more expensive given its proximity to the Okemo Ski Area. If interested in making a reservation at the Comfort Inn 1-800-432-6788, please mention your participation in the Catamount Trail Association Ski Tour to receive the special rate. There are many other lodging options along the trail. You can find a list of these on the CTA website: http://www.catamounttrail.org/trail/lodging/ Please feel free to call me (Bill Herrington) if you would like to further discuss accommodations along this tour (802-483-2081). |
