The Catamount Trail Forums

Trail Closure between Trapps and Stowe Mountain Resort

 Greetings,

I have read with extreme disappointment in yesterday's Stowe Reporter that the popular Ranch Camp trail, part of the Catamount Trail linking the Haul Road at Trapps with the Stowe Mountain Resort XC center, will be closed this season due to a financial dispute between Trapps and Stowe Mountain Report. I am planning to write a letter to the Stowe Reporter, letting them know I'm disappointed in this closure. Perhaps others may wish to do the same.

 Hello Catamount Trail Skiers,

In response to Cindy's message, I would like to clarify that the Catamount Trail linking Trapp Family Lodge to Stowe Mountain Resort Nordic Center will not be closed this winter.

The Trail will not be groomed, and it is imperative that Catamount Trail Skiers purchase tickets at both Trapps and Stowe nordic centers. Members receive a two for one coupon for Stowe nordic and a 50% coupon for Trapps in the CTA Rewards booklet.
