 What's the best ski for the Catamount Trail? Carving skis or "Mining Road" Cruisers?

Hi! If you only had to pick on pair of skis, I'd pick a XCD ski, slightly shaped, with full edges but fairly narrow. 300+ miles would be really far on super fat skis!

What's a "Mining Road" Cruiser ski? I think I'll google that!
