December 22, 2010: There are three active logging operations on Green Mountain National Forest land between French Hollow Road and South Road this winter. The affected sections have been posted with signs and are closed at this time to facilitate safe skiing and safe logging.

We are working to identify and mark alternative routes and will post additional updates here. If you should encounter active logging operations while you are on the trail, please pass at a safe distance. For additional information on this logging project, which encompasses a variety of management activities including deer wintering area improvement, wildlife habitat creation and enhancement, fish and stream habitat enhancement, watershed restoration, historic site protection and maintenance, forest health improvement as well as the production of wood products, please contact us.
