I am a strong downhill telemark skier and just starting to get into skining this year.

Could you recommend a couple of trails or trail regions in southern and central VT that would be good to check out?

Thank you!

Hi John,
You can check out the
hoosac-range-skiing@[remove this text]googlegroups[dot]com
Google Groups, which has exactly this topic. In S VT, unless you want to try abandoned areas like Hogback or Haystack, there aren't many trail options, but plenty of 'ski it if you can find it' terrain.

Pico is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and is friendly to skinners most any time. There are other stashes around here but now why would I describe them on the forum? javascript:editor.insertSmilie('icon_wink.gif')

Magic Mtn is also closed during several days during the week. Ascutney Mtn is closed this year as well.
