The Catamount Trail Association (CTA) is a membership based organization. Unfortunately the CTA cannot survive on membership funds alone. Along with grants and corporate sponsorships, the CTA has two fund raising drives which help make up about 2/3 of the annual budget. The CTA is a 501 3c non-profit organization.
Annual Fund: These funds are used to help the general funding of the organization which include staff salaries, daily office expenses, newsletters, events and much more.
Trail Fund: These funds are used to help convey easements, construct bridges, reroutes off of the VAST trail and all other activites associated with trail protection and management.
2013 Trail Fund Raffle: Maine Huts & Trails and the CTA are giving away a 2-night vacation package. Maine Huts & Trails manages a system of 4 huts with over 50 miles of trails for you to hike, bike or ski. The package includes a private room, breakfast and dinner for each guest. Valid Midweek Only. Excluded dates include 12/31/13, 2/14–2/22/14. Anyone who donates $10 or more to the Trail Fund between March 15 and May 31, 2013 will be entered to win. CTA staff and board members are not eligible.

Charitable Bequest: If you want to leave some or all of your estate to serve the charitable needs of the Catamount Trail Association, you might consider a charitable bequest to the Catamount Trail Fund, a component fund at the Vermont Community Foundation.
